The DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities is pleased to announce its 5th Annual Dance DC Festival.  The festival will be held at various venues throughout the District of Columbia from September 26-28, 2008 and will feature a wide array of folk and traditional dance forms practiced by local area ensembles and artists.  Some of the genres include hip-hop, salsa, swing and others.  Performances as well as interactive workshops will be available and free to the public over the three-day event.  We hope you will join us for an exciting weekend full of dynamic and inspiring dance performances.

Since 1968, the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities has provided grants, programs and educational activities that encourage diverse artistic expression and learning opportunities in order for all District of Columbia residents and visitors to experience the rich culture of our city.  The Arts Commission is very proud to continue in this annual celebration of DC’s rich diversity of cultural dance traditions.
